PHILOSOPHY

A successful custom home design approach begins with understanding how a homeowner lives, what inspires them, and how the home should function for their lifestyle. The process starts by thoughtfully balancing site opportunities, architectural character, and functional planning to create a home that feels intentional from every perspective.

Through careful consideration of space planning, natural light, material selections, circulation, and exterior form, each element is shaped to work together cohesively. Great custom home design is not about creating a larger home—it is about creating a more meaningful one that reflects the people who live there and enhances the way they experience everyday life.

DAN COOPER

FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL

Dan’s interest in design stems from the late 1990s, first in merchandising and then as an interior designer & eventually a home designer in the early 2000s.

Under Dan’s creativity and leadership, dC has designed many memorable homes and interiors throughout Eugene and Bend Oregon over the last 22 years. He has been recognized in a dozen publications and design awards in his tenure.

Dan constantly works to bring innovating concepts and products to our community and has been known to display them with custom homes and interiors on the Tour of Homes.

Outside of work, Dan enjoys soaking up the best of Central Oregon and taking in sporting events, theme parks and wineries along the West Coast.

TODD COLE

DESIGNER

Todd specializes in cabinetry design, helping create custom homes and remodels that feel refined, personal and thoughtfully crafted. His work is rooted in an appreciation for interior design and the way well crafted spaces shape everyday life.

Known for a collaborative and hands-on approach, Todd works closely with clients to translate their vision into homes that are both beautiful and highly livable.

From early concepts through final execution, he is closely involved at every stage, ensuring each project reflects the client’s lifestyle while maintaining a timeless, high quality result.

RACHAEL BINEHAM

INTERIOR DESIGNER

With a keen eye for color, material, and pattern, Rachael creates unexpected mood boards and palettes that consistently hit the mark. She has a knack for connecting instantly with clients, uncovering project goals, and helping reveal the small details that make a home truly personal and one-of-a-kind.

Rachael is a Midwest transplant who has fully embraced the West Coast spirit. She, her husband, and daughter love to travel near and far, whether it’s a quick weekend getaway to the mountains or overseas exploring ancient architecture, meeting local artisans, and discovering unique spaces along the way.

SCOTT GRADY

DESIGN DIRECTOR

With more than 20 years of experience in architectural design, Scott began his career in Las Vegas designing luxury condos, nightclubs, restaurants and resort environments.

Scott brings a practical, client-centered approach to every project as he transforms ideas into clear, photo-realistic 3D renderings. He is dedicated to communicating design by removing interpretation, allowing homeowners to fully understand spaces, details, and design intent. His emphasis on a streamlined and inclusive design process empowers clients to make confident decisions as a stronger form of collaboration.
