FINE HOMES
DC's Fine Homes division builds homes in the greater Lane-County area. From Cottage Grove north to Junction City and every where in between, we select projects based on a few variables. Whether it be a client specific project or a speculative home, it is essential for us to feel inspired by the job, one where we can provide the future owner with a well thought out, exclusively designed residence.
Client-Projects
As mentioned in our Profile, we are always interested in looking at
Pre-Sold projects. If we are to take on a pre-sold
it would depend on a few key details: our schedule, locations of existing projects, and what kind of vision/project
the customer has in mind. Every home is of the utmost importance to us, and in order to put our best foot forward we
wish to be inspired and passionate about each project we do.
When hired, we not only partner with our customers to build their dream home, we will offer some interior design consulting as part of the project. We can adapt to any style or theme, and we feel by giving our customers an added value it will make the daunting task of constructing their home a little less stressful and a little more enjoyable.
Speculative Homes
Our main objective is to provide new homes that encompass our design principles and provide the customer with a home that caters to their every need. Having said that, the majority of our homes are speculative, meaning we build it with a customer in mind but not a specific customer. Most of what we do depends on the property the home is going to be located on. Most of our homes are designed specific to the site, which allows the final product to look like it is the perfect fit for the piece of land. Many people make a large mistake when planning their new home building project: they pick a plan that they love, but not always does the plan work on the land they purchase. We feel this is the most important variable in the quest for a quality finished product.
Our Spec homes are usually thought out to cater to a specific group or type of customers. We design the interiors and exteriors
with a specific theme (Italian Villa, French Country, Traditional, etc.), meanwhile designing space to provide function to the
future homeowner.
We do try to be consistent in a few areas:
- Main Level Master Bedroom (when possible)
- No homes smaller than 2000 feet
- Use of either exterior stone or stucco on the outside
- No formica or linoleum in our houses. All tile, natural stone, real wood and wood laminate floor (& carpet of course)
- Dens and Offices include closets to be considered a bedroom for resale
- Unique built-ins and innovative technologies
- Open Kitchens and spacious common areas
- Vaulted, Tray, Coffered, Barrel, and Sofit Ceilings
- 3-bay garages
- Quality appliances
