Questions:

How long have you been waiting to build your dream home?
We had been dreaming of a home like this for many years and we were watching the development that we are building in for quite a while. We finally purchased the 2 acre lot in January of 2003 and we broke ground in May of 2006.

What makes this home your dream home?
Size, style and a floorplan that we helped design. Also the lot size.

How long do you plan on living in this home?
We are not sure, at least 10 years.

What makes the house-plan layout cater to your lifestyle?
There are many things. Here are two of the most important factors. The openness of the house will allow us to easily entertain large groups of people. The large covered patio in the back will allow for great outdoor entertaining as well.

What is your favorite part(s) of the house?
The kitchen and the bonus room.

What aspect in the home is most important to you?
The kitchen, when designing this home the kitchen size was the main priority.

What budget category are you most likely to go over on?
Definitely the kitchen appliances and audio/video/lighting control system. These are two areas we feel are well worth the extra cost.

What aspect in the home do you feel you are most "design challenged?"
Kitchen design. This is an area that took a lot of planning. From cabinets to appliances to layout to functionality, it all has to flow.

Why did you hire DC Fine Homes to build your home?
We have been attending the Tour of Homes for the past several years and we were most impressed with DC Fine Home's tour home in 2005. Dan's vision and attention to architectural details is exceptional! Dan's personal home is the same style of home that we had envisioned for our future home.
